Studying at the Centro Studi
is the experience of a lifetime, where history and modern efficient structures go hand in hand.Orvieto is ideally situated on the principal north-south rail and automobile communication routes. Florence is around an hour and a half away, Rome not much more than an hour. After a day in the chaotic impersonal city, it is a relief to return to the more intimate Orvieto perched on its characteristic tufa cliff and enjoy the leisurely pleasures of good food and a feeling for tradition.
In the past ten years Italian universities have been flanked by international universities and colleges, above all from the United States, who have elected the Centro Studi “Città di Orvieto” as the venue for their courses. Particularly popular are the courses devoted to archaeology, with visits to nearby Etruscan and Roman excavations and centers.
The prestigious Italian universities collaborating with the center include the University of Perugia, the University of Rome“ La Sapienza”, the Sacro Cuore Catholic University in Milan, the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the LUISS “Guido Carli” of Rome, offering courses and programs of a residential nature in Orvieto, ranging from computer engineering and telecommunications to the humanistic and social disciplines of communication, the study of Italian language and culture to the economy of sources of energy, the preservation of environmental assets to the architecture of historical centers and landscape, archaeology to education in health.
